You were probably searching under "Affix" :)  It is not called this any more but just referred to as "Kennel Name"
They publish recently applied for names here but I do not think you can search the entire list on line.

I thought I saw on here somewhere not too long ago how you could check if the name you want has already been used?

you can put in a name checker - it'll tell you if it's already an affix by saying it's not available.

This is the name checker but think that is for a full Registered name not just Kennel Name?

You can use it to check a kennel name...for instance, If I wanted the name "Afterglow joe bloggs" in the name part not the kennel name part,  it would tell me that afterglow is a kennel name already taken....I used it when searching for a kennel name, I got my first choice approved within 14 days.

I was researching puppy names a few months back and wanted the word "blythe" in the name, it was refused as that is someone's affix, if I knocked the "e" off the end it was accepted. Using the search option saves time as you won't send in ones already taken.

When I was applying for my affix a few years back I was told I could order a book of already registered affixes but the lady told me it was a waste of money as it was out of date by the time it returned from the printers as new ones were added daily not every 3 months as had happened in the past before online applications became the norm.

I am the same the search facility is very poor, and needs tweaking as the articles on the site if you can find them are excellent.

Not by a long shot, if I am searching for something specific on their site I actually find it easier to go to google and search for what I want plus the letters KC at the end and google normally gives me the exact page I want or one with a link in it.
