I am looking for a dog cage with an up and over door for in the house. Can anyone suggest types to look at or avoid?
I will also need a cage for the car and I wondered if any makes were better for not being noisy when travelling ?
Thanks in advance.
Dog Health for indoor crates are great quality and very competitively priced. The only thing I would say is that they use plastic trays that are not covered by any guarantee.

For the indoors crate it's another vote for Dog Health.
For car crates I've found the Barnesbrook "Silent Traveller" is one of the best and very good value to boot.

Another vote for Dog Health, I recently purchased a large car crate from them with up and over door, don't see why it can't be used in house and it has metal tray.

Barnesbrook definitely not a whisper when travelling - would think he would be happy to design what you want for indoors to. Competitive prices too
Yep, Doghealth here too for indoors - the plastic trays are really very robust, much stronger than the brittle trays as in the likes of the Argos cages.
Car caging depends on budget. I've a van with fully fitted cages, but am very impressed with a friend's TransK9 box but then we're talking over £400. Definitely no rattles though, nor fluff/muck passing into the vehicle!
Thanks for all of your replies.
The Dog Health cage looks good but could I just ask - will the up and over door lie flat on the top of the cage and would those of you with toy breeds suggest that the small cage is big enough, or should I go for the medium so that she can stretch out ?

Yes the 3 door ones the up and over lies flat on top making easy to leave open so the dog can come and go as they want or be shut in if needs be.
My dachsies in the past have piled into the 24 inches one, all 5 of them, provided their noses were clear they were happy so a toy breed which will be shorter in the body should have plenty of room to stretch out.
