Does anyone use this food for a dog with allergies?  I'm looking to introduce a complete food to my dog who is fed raw at the minute just for convienience.  I need to pick up his food 3 times a week and although it's not expensive, it's really gross! And if I try adding extras to 'bulk' it out or even just for extra vits, his skin breaks out again!  I'm at a loss with him!!Argh!
Budget is an issue too(as always) but the grain seems to set him off and the Oijen stuff is too expensive.  I'm waiting on Simpsons getting back to me as I've joined the breeders club to see what the discount is like so I will let you know if I get good results but I wonder if anyone used it allready.
Good or Bad????

I can recommend Fish4dogs if you're just wanting to avoid cereals

I have been using Simpsons premium food for about 2 years now & can thoroughly recommend it.My Bullmastiff male has a delicate digestion so I use the Salmon& potato or the Lamb&potato which are both Hypoallergenic so should be OK for skin problems too. It is reasonably priced too which is a bonus.

I've been using it for over 2 years. It's the best I've ever found. My bitch has food allergies and other environmental allergies, but she very rarely has a flare up now and when she does it's very mild. I feed the salmon and potato variety (the puppy version is excellent too!)

I have also been using this for some time, my dogs don't have allergies, however I like to feed them the best I can, and as far as I am concerned this is the closest thing to feeding things like Orijen etc.

I have giant breeds so to feed Orijen would bankrupt me LOL but this is the best alternative I have found and very reasonably priced if you buy through the breeder club £28/£29 per 15kg sack of the Salmon/Lamb/Chicken & Potato variety, they do a Duck & Potato but thats a little bit more expensive.

I will say though the one thing that I would change if I could was that it still has beet pulp in it, now the ammount will be small but it's there and some dogs can actually be have allergies to that, but if not then its a really great high quality feed and i have never yet had a bad poo fromk any dog on it :-) always a bonus.

Healthy happy dogs with good coats..

I am PRO Simpsons Dogs Food :-)

Wow, thanks everyone.  Anderbel, I have the same delicate breed!lol. What is it with them?  I would've thought they would've had a tougher constitution!
I know what you mean about the beet pulp.  I would've prefered without but I suppose that's what maybe brings the price down? The oijen stuff is just too expensive having large breeds.

Sorry Kat and co, I missed your part about the breeders club prices.  Wow! That's really brill for the type of food!!  If they get back to me with these types of prices, I will defo be buying!
