Did anyone  notice on Fake Britain Wednesday 4th , that amongst the fake tablets available on the internet was a tub of Mineral supplement for dogs , with a bulldog motif on ...letters that could be seen were '...inova'

There have been repeated warnings on the forum regarding online pharmacies.  I know I have posted a few myself :)  This is not a new problem.

These things are often cheap for a reason; they're fake!

The one thing that came out in that programme was that the counterfeit goods were not being sold cheaply - just a bit cheaper than in the shops - the reason so many people buy online. 

Really worried me that they said some of the drugs were finding their way into the NHS....  one of the ones shown was a medication my elderly mother has recently been put on. However I don't think hers were fake, she was given too high a dosage by the GP at first and spent a whole day hallucinating

This something that has worried me although I have never bought on line ( yet) I know someone who regul;arly does allsorts of medication bith human and animal and I must say it does worry me Any idea how we can tell good from bad ? I know that sounds daft but are there reputable online suppliers I presumes so

The safest way is to stick to UK companies registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Thank you will check that out. Its good saving money but I want to know I am putting the right thing into. My dogs (and me) and not chance poisoning them

Yes, there are definitely well established, reputable pharmaceutical companies online.
The one I use predominantly has been going for many, many years.  You can tell the genuine ones, they will inform you that you need a prescription from your vet if it's POM.  And, even with such things as Panacur, they will want to know how many dogs you have, and ask you to confirm that you are competent to work out dosing.

That bit worried me too - there was so much stuff there - I never dreamt that was happening.  I nearly didn't watch that programme.
