My cousin has 2 GSD's, at 3 yrs and 12 yrs. The 'oldie' is now not in the best of health, and soon the painful decision will have to be made. As they have always been a 2 dog family, they will want another dog after this one leaves them, and want to return to a Goldie, which they have owned previously. However, this was a number of years ago, and the dark colour, with thick coats were the norm then. This is the type and colour they want, as they do not like the cream colour. Does anyone know of any being bred like this now? Obviously, this is a 'future' thing, as they would not have a puppy until the oldie was no longer with them. Distance is no object, as they are prepared and know they will have to travel for the right dog. Any help please? email sirrompj@yahoo.co.uk
Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

I think that your best bet is to contact one of the numerous breed clubs and ask them to recommend a breeder who breeds this type :-)
