How is the best way to clean Tarnished silver cutlery???
Has anyone tried it with vinegar and tin foil etc???
The easiest way possible as we have alot to do LOL

Used to just do it the old-fashioned way - plenty of elbow grease :) One reason why we don't use ours any more :) :)

Tin foil, soda crystals, add warm water & into a washing up bowl. Bowl should not be metal & the silver touching the foil, works well.

bring it round my house, I love polishing silver/copper/brass, so satisfying :-)

If it is old silver it should not be rubbed really so silver dip is best followed by a wash in a good quality washing up water a dip in clean hot water and left on a clean cotton towel to dry in it's own heat.

Quite right. No good quality plates, glasses or cutlery should ever go in the dishwasher. The washing chemicals are far too caustic and will ruin them.

Just depends what you mean by good quality :) We have Wedgwood bought over thirty years ago that has been in the dishwasher and also our 'every day' china which is Doulton (and marked dishwasher safe) that is ten years old - neither have any sign of wear :) I do agree that glass/silver should never be put in, but 'modern' china (particularly marked dishwasher safe) in our experience, is absolutely fine :) We also have ceramic handles on our cutlery which are also fine (unless dropped on the floor :( )
