As I now need to purchase a new harness does anyone have any recommendations. the criterea is to attach along ling from a d ring on the dogs bad and the reason for harness is not to supposedly stop her pulling but to allow her to run to the end of the line without hurting her throat so it needs to be strong a flatti in full flight must be able to give a fair amount of pull :)

Buster just has a nylon harness like this, but his is not a PAH one, I got it form our local, small pet shop. His cost about £12. It's held his weight (90kg) crashing to the end of it, I've no worries about it breaking, it's lovely & sturdy.
The only issue I have with it, it's inclined to slip sideways and the padded part on the inside of the harness  (fake leather effect) are starting to crack a bit now (cosmetically), but he's had it for nearly 4 years.

If it holds Buster I would have no worries about Brooke she is a feather weight by comparison :)

:)

Buster has a long-line rather than going loose, as I'd hate for him to run up to anybody and frighten them (despite being friendly, people don't like the look of him), also he has bad elbows so I can controll his excersise better.
If you're also on the look out for a new long-line, I got a fantastic long-line from PAH, very sturdy and it can be clipped in half so it's not as long. Takes a bit of getting used to, but I've got the knack of keeping it up off the floor to stop his legs getting tangled, bit of a handfull but it's soooo long. I found it fantastic for recall practice. Buster isn't very energetic so he more often has a much shorter long-line. But if you're after a sturdy one for Brooke, the PAH one in the link is very strong.
:)
I'm sure you'll also get lots more recomendations for harnesses.

I like the Canac harness as it ahs two rings over the clasp that you attach the lead clip too, so should the plastic clasp fail the harness is still kept closed.  http://www.amazon.co.uk/Canac-Harness-Size-19mm-Red/dp/B003TL0CYQ/ref=sr_1_35?s=pet-supplies&ie=UTF8&qid=1325277229&sr=1-35

The high vis yellow is lovely.

At club we usually have a selection of different head collars, etc for people to try, unfortunately we have quite a few that go missing. We bought some SWAG head collars in the hi vis yellow with green webbing thinking that we were safe and no one would walk off with them, guess which sold first!!

Think the colour would look really good on a flatcoat.

We have the Dog games harnesses too, we've had them (6) for about 5 years, they're fab and wash well too.

Have ordered hi viz yellow now may have to get her a collar to match lol
Now need to get down to serious training might even use long line indoors to get her off the worksufaces as she has just stolen the last mince pie inspite of it being hidden behind a large bowl and at the back. Dog is now banned from kitchen except when supervised lol
