Just wondering what is the best time to scan soley for confirmation  ( not bothered about numbers ) of pregnancy.

My bitch would be 22 days today ( tuesday ) seen online 18 - 25 days , then 28 -35 days , one vet i spoke to said from okay from 20 days another vet said 28/30 days and a sheep scanner said 35 - 40 days at the earliest LOL.

this is her second mating, she missed the last time, i know timing was perfect this time as she was tested ( progestrone ) we had her scanned last time twice at 4 weeks, i wans't happy or 100% convinced the first time, but was confirmed after anyway unfortuantely not what we wanted to hear.

where getting Keith Shea to do it , anyone had him do there bitch...?????

I have been looking at her and i'm not convinced she will be, of course shes only 3 weeks and i'm overly paranoid, her nipples don't seem to be getting much bigger nor pinker/lumpy under neath ( tissue forming ) she still as greedy as ever and no lazier than normal.  She has a  clear eggwhite style discharge , but like you have blown your nose ( in colour :-D ) not green GREEN like if you had a cold.

anyway she has something simiar to that last time and wasn't.

this has to be the longest 4 weeks EVER, really hope i dont have to let familes down AGAIN ....

3 weeks is really to early to be able to see any signs. If you have a vet who is good at palpation they could detect a pregnancy at around 21 days but the window is small.
My (sheep) scanner says 28-30 days from the last mating for the most accurate results on numbers.

I have used Keith for about 5 years and he has been spot on everytime bar one. He will not scan until 28 days. Good luck!

keith scanned my girl a few weeks ago, she was 27 days from slip mating and 28 days from tie and he saw 6 pups, ive always used him and find him very good, one thing i did find out this time though is he normally charges £35 to come our house, this time i offered to go to him as hes not to far from me and its only £20 which was a great saving, worth thinking about if your close to him. he normally says 28 days onwards x

My vet likes to scan at 4 weeks (they all have their own set ideas) and he has always been able to tell if there are pups at that age. They appear 'walnut-like' on the monitor :-D

Hi can you possibly tell me the location of your scanner as I am hoping to have my girl scanned next week to see if she is possibly having pups from a slip mating.
many thanks
