On one of the "buy and sell" pets facebook pages there is someone selling shar pei puppies, unregistered, both parents owned.  I questioned why unregistered (as both parents are) and apparantly its because people cant afford a KC reg pup this time of year !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ive now been jumped on by everyone on the thread saying KC is rubbish / they inbreed/ blah blah blah.  Ive been looking for what health screening the breed requires but cant find a thing on google, does anyone know ?

Thank you JH and the RSPCA I really do hope they do not reap what they have sown but I can see it happening and who will be first to complain - yes your right the JHs of this world and the RSPCA - do wish people could see further than their prejudices

Without any kind of verified ancestry record, how do they know they aren't inbreeding?
I would be surprised if any random BYB-bred dogs (if their ancestry could be confirmed) did not have at least one common ancestor within 6 generations.

Some insurance policies wont cover this breed either. Think M&S won't (or wouldnt)

I've given up now, ive been totally shouted down, bunch of chavs to be honest, they dont have a clue and they dont want to listen !

I think I can guess where you have been posting, very entrenched aggressive Back Yard breeder attitudes.
