RSPCA - official (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals)
Join us tomorrow at 2-3 pm for a LIVE Q&A with our senior scientific officer and dog expert, Claire Calder. She will be taking your questions on the RSPCA's latest campaign 'Bred for Looks, Born to Suffer' (http://bit.ly/w4edDk) - stop by and ask her your questions about the health and welfare problems associated with some of the most popular breeds of dog.

i want to know if she thinks puppy farms are ok then!

I hate that type of sensationalist headline.  So pedigree puppies are 'bred for looks, born to suffer' are they?   So what is their alternative...byb or puppy farm - no health testing and no thought for the welfare of the puppies, just the balance sheet. Grrrr.

Here is the link to their facebook page if anyone wants to comment...  http://www.facebook.com/RSPCA?sk=wall

Join them tomorrow where?

That really is a TERRIBLE slogan. Totally utterly untrue -really makes you wish you could report it somewhere and make them stop using it.

Extremely good point abut puppy farms. They don't breed for looks, they breed for money! So that's okay then?

Anyone who shows knows that looks alone isn't enough in the showring anyway.

I took it to mean there will be a live 'chat' on the facebook page.

If you look further down the facebook page there was another web chat done on 15th december on another subject.
