Hi all. As you all know christmas is approaching and we are all so excited and/or stressed, and so wrapped up in all that is xmassy !! And sometimes forget other things that are important. I no a few people at the moment who are going through rough times and could do with some prayers for them. First of all my best friend's husband as this week left her foranother women, left her to look after two kids and two dogs on her own with no money at this time of the year, secondly my other best friend (who is like a sister to me) recently had a car crash as she fainted on the motorway and is now back in hospital with reasons unknown to me atm but she is very poorly, thirdly my mum and dad, my mum is still recovering from a ruptured bowl (she has not long had the reversal and so is in doctors eyes recovered but it was a touch year for her) and my dad has been not well for a number of years with his back having had numeras ops, fourthly my partners mother has just been diagnosed with parkinsons disease and i hope she and all family around her find courage and hope !! Could you all please keep these people in your prayers as they all mean so much to me, and lets all stop and think about others at this time of the year who may not be as lucky as we are and just need a little hope !! If there is anyone who you would like us to keep in our thoughts or preyers please say xxxxxx muxh love and merry christmas to all !!!

What a lovely idea.  I will gladly pray for your family and friends LurcherOwner.  Perhaps others could think of my very dear friend's two young daughters who are spending their first Christmas without her having lost her to swine flu shortly after the new year.

Please can I just tag on & ask you to pray for the family & friends of the family lost in tragic circumstances in Leeds.

God bless everyone suffering at this time.

They will be in my thoughts also .

Please can I have people think of a little boy who I've heard of via our ferret rescue friends , he is called Max and is only 14 months old , he has Downs syndrome , hole in the heart and not long ago diagnosed with leukemia he has just started chemo on Monday and will be in the RVI in Newcastle for a few months , although he is poorly is is so happy in himself. There is a FB page called bring santa to little Max , our friends are going to take presents in to the ward for him and all the other children poorly with cancer on the ward . I thought this was a lovely idea , I can't stop thinking about the poor little soul, I just hope he is strong and pulls through .

I'm not the praying kind but I'll certainly keep those mentioned in my thoughts.

I am not religous, but keep people in my thoughts,
Alot of you will know about this who know me on FB, but here is the story :-
A FB friend (She went to the other school in the town and has about 15 mutual friends) who I added about a year ago.
Her daughter was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour a few months ago.
She has already been into hospital once thinking that she had hours, she was in again on Sunday thinking she wouldnt come round.
She became a big sister to a new baby last week.
I ask on FB for people to pray for her to find peace which ever way that goes.
She is back at the hospice at the moment and it would be great if they got to have a Christmas together with the whold family and new baby.
Her mother believes its all the prarying that has brought her back twice now. So any prays that people can do for her then please, keep her out of pain and let her see christmas.
I am always hoping for strength for her and her family to get through this which ever road it takes.
I will be thinking of all the people that need strength.
Lovely thread xxx

I am not religious either but only said to OH this morning when seeing an advert for the Salvation Army that people who have nothing get nothing where as we who have a comfortable home and full stomachs are given help. We recently had our home insulated at the expense of the Tax Payer and I am grateful but without a home I could not be helped to keep warm and the same goes for the £300 winter fuel allowance it is of no help if you have no home.

Will try very hard not to just keep people in my thought but to do something practical as well.

Christmas is a strange time of the year whether we are religious or not, it makes us think of all things sad and bad that have gone on through the preceding year.

I think it gives decent folk a sense of happiness for the good things that have passed and a sense of sadness for all things bad and we always hope that the following year will bring better things to those that have trouble and strife.

I'm sure we all count our blessings and wish well and better for those less lucky than us.

I wish well to all less fortunate than me

I am not usually a religous type either but i have been so wrapped up in my own problems all year that it suddenley dawned on me that so many people I know and love suddenly have found themselves going through rough times that I just had to take a few steps back from my own life and think about those people and all other people in hworld that you hear about, like you all mentioned, that are not as fortunate as we all are. I have not got much money, recently lost my job, cant get any bnefits at the moment and have to mainly rely on family members or my partner to help me and my son out, and felt abit sorry for myself, but that was selfish of me to do and now I realise just how lucky we are that we have a home, a nice family life, a lovely dog and most importantly our love and happyness and health :) Thank you all for commenting. Stooge, Flora2, Cani1, Lea and Nova I will keep all you mentioned in my preyers and thoughts to, and thanks to all who have said they will think about the people i mentioned in my first comment :)
God bless all and I wish you health and happyness :) xxxx
