does anyone give their male any sort of antibiotics before hes mates a bitch?

I get my bitches swabbed prior to mating and if necessary antibiotics are prescribed - by swabbing you know the type of bacteria being carried and the correct antibiotic to clear it up.

I would never expect the stud to be routinely given AB's - some dogs would be on them permanently!
