I'm there on Sunday - good luck one and all !
I do like LKA - it's one of the more relaxed and cheery shows I often find. ...and I have to admire the restraint shown by those woofs that have to sit on their benches staring at the 'groaning with food' tables that spring up in every hall!!!
I was pleased with my day today - I hope others have/had a good one too :)

Well done today Rebecca with winning your class x

Obviously have not read the NEC rules in the schedule on no food tables allowed!
We did notice a large amount of poop left on the walkways from the car park on Saturday. And on the way in saw piles left and ignored by the owners and again on leaving. Golden lab, g retrievers, and black lab culprits - their owners should be ashamed as lots of us saw you walk on without picking it up. People with trolleys had no chance of avoiding the mess. Even when someone yelled at them to pick up they turned round with smug looks as though it was beneath them to do so

Even when someone yelled at them to pick up they turned round with smug looks as though it was beneath them to do soThat's awful! If you are fit enough to take your dog to the show and round the ring surely there's no excuse for not picking up after your dog, even if you have to beg a bag off someone else.
We were really disappointed to miss the day after looking forward to it for months...my oldest boy started coughing two days before the show and that was it for the youngest one who was entered, and goodbye to all the other entries we sent in for this month :-(

It was still on the walkways today as well :-( I was jumping over it.
I saw Jeff today :-P

I saw Sue today but it was very fleeting, sorry Sue! :-)
As far as the dog mess is concerned I have, in the past, pretended to photograph people with my phone, makes them think twice!
Jeff.

I saw Goldmali's husband but never managed to get over to where she was - sorry Marianne!
But yes, I was very disappointed at seeing poo left on the ground - some even inside the Halls.

My girl decided to poo in the hall :-( However my friend stood over the residue left behind while I found a cleaner, no way would I leave that inside... And JG to imagine that people weren't getting it cleared up, disgusting, bet they wouldn't do that in their own homes..
I have no sympathy for those who do not clean up after their dogs, but Wow - pooing in public!!
...spare a thought for those of us that have 'retentive' dogs that wouldn't poo in a public place unless their lives depended on it
Actually my youngest isn't too bad - he relieved himself in a grass verge in a car park on the way up - BUT he really did need to go later and had that sort of tail carriage that told me he ought to go. I heard one of my competitors telling her husband that my dog had the best tail carriage of any she'd seen that day... :) :o

Most people wouldn't (I hope) ... but this was abandoned and had been stepped in ...

I tell you what though DAB, she'd not been in hours and refused to pee or poo on the way in either, normally peeing and pooing in public for her is a no no, let alone pooing inside. I was mortified, but guess she couldn't hold it in any longer...
Ah well Sue that was obviously her Christmas present to you - 'ooh look what I can do now I'm a big girl'!!
PS thanks for your congrats hun - did you have a good day too? Oh and welcome back by the way :)
I saw Goldmali's husband but never managed to get over to where she was - sorry Marianne!I KNEW it was SOMEBODY I was meant to look out for but I couldn't remember! Ooops. Can I blame old age? :) It wasn't entirely easy to show two different breeds in different halls, so most of the day we were split up -me with the Mali in one hall and husband and daughter with the Papillon in another. (BSD people don't mind a Papillon guest at their benches, but Papillon people can get very upset if they see a big dog around their benches, so base camp was at the Malinois bench! Then when taking turns with puppy buyers to mind each others' dogs meant I never left the hall all day.)

I did have a good day, 2nd in mpb and pb, absolutely stoked as she is now qualified for Crufts. Have to say I've always throught highly of Frank Kane and this now still continues ;-).
> 2nd in mpb and pb
Oh well done you - a lovely result and
very nice to qualify for Crufts under a judge you really admire. See, it really was her Christmas present to you :)

Maybe that was, the poop on the other hand was like getting a piece of coal wrapped up in a stocking!!
> ...spare a thought for those of us that have 'retentive' dogs that wouldn't poo in a public place unless their lives depended on it
lol my oldest boy is one of those, can't possibly go if someone else is about however my youngest is an exhibitionist and waits till we are either crossing the road just as a car comes round the corner or just as a person passes by lol :) aaahhh don't cha just loves dogs

My youngest just has to spend between 2 and 20 minutes doing her little dance first, usually the colder it is or the more in a hurry I am, the longer she takes!
Good luck to all attending, drive safe and feel free to sat "Hi" if you see 2 gingers trotting round the ring together!
Hi Jeff, I'm intrigued - two gingers... do you show a brace OR are you and your beastie ginger? in which case it could be a number of breeds... I'm plumping for Irish terrier and a you having a very fine head of ginger hair...
> Ah well Sue that was obviously her Christmas present to you - 'ooh look what I can do now I'm a big girl'!!
My oldie rescue girl did a dump in the ring at a fun show in the summer. I was completely mortified but rallied enough to say, "Well it is the Veterans class, she's obviously old and incontinent!"

I do indeed have a ginger mop and Gunn the Tibetan Mastiff, strictly speaking a gold but I like to think he is ginger as well! :-)
Jeff.
