Hi me again. Does anybody use Glucosamine liquid instead of the capsules. I couln not find it it the health shops, they only did it in capsules. Have heard that the liquid form is better.

I used Corta-vet liquid for Dylan who has cartilage damage and osteoarthritis (according to the specialists anyway), I had to get it from the vets, approx £25, lasted my lab sized dog about 3 weeks, I don't think it has worked for Dylan but then nor did the Cosequin, other people rave about it. If you put 'Cortaflex' into a search engine you will find the same product (liver flavoured) just not quite as concentrated.
As a last thought, I don't know what is wrong with your dog but have you tried hydrotherapy, it seems to be the only thing that has worked for Dylan.

I use glucosamine liquid, I use a product called Syn Flex. It costs about £24.00 a bottle and you give a quarter of an ounce dose and the bottle should last a month. If you do a search on Syn Flex you will get the web site of the American manufacturer and supplier but there are suppliers here in the UK - I use a company called HWize. I have to admit I used Cosequin from the vets (ouch it cost £75) and did not see any real improvement but after 10 days on Syn Flex my big boy was running around like a puppy.
