I'm so excited, I've been looking and looking for a new perfume and couldn't find anything that really suited me.  I usually wear CK Eternity Moment but have got really bored of it so after lots of different samples and sprays, I came across Paul Smith Rose.  It is beautiful, light and feminine with a soft floral scent.   So if you're looking for something smelly for Christmas, try this one.

Also wondering what fragrance everyone else is wearing.... :)

I have quite a few perfumes and wear some dependant on my mood.

My favourites though are Dior Addict , Givency Play, YSL Elle. They are all quite heavy perfumes but all very distinct and I think more ish. I like for summer though Clinque Happy Heart as that is a very fresh perfume

I'd never smelt Paul Smith Rose until last week on someone at work, and it's rather nice! I'm wearing Marc Jacobs Daisy at the mo, which is gorgeous. But, even though I've got the eau de parfum, I can't smell it after an hour of wearing it, which is a bit naff. I'm sure others can smell it, but i can't :( For the lingering smell factor, it's got to be Chanel-lasts all day (normally wear Chance eau Fraiche or Coco Mademoiselle).

I have the YSL Elle Shocking which smells lovely on other people but smells sort of harsh on me.. I suit softer perfumes, used to love Anais Anais, and Max Factor La Jardin.  I have worn Eternity Moment for years but I wanted a change, especially as I'm getting on a bit ;)

I love knowing all the different perfumes and what people like to use...

I bought Paul Smith Rose, its lovely, I usually wear Issay Miyaki which I have done for years.

I'M with you Chanel for long lasting. I've gone through MJ Daisy and feel the same. Currently on Kenzo flowers. Just the cost of Chanel stops me buying too frequently. I like strong heady perfumes :-)

I love Coco Mademoiselle, but my most favourite is Narcisso Rodriguez.
Always love to try the others though.

I like Chanel Coco madamoiselle for nightime. During the day I like either Clinique Happy or Marc Jacobs Daisy. For years I wore Clinique aromatics but find it a bit dated now if its possible for a smell to be dated :-)

I used to love this - but on other people only.  When I wore it I smelt of cat pee and parma violets!!

You're not kidding Sue, Chanel is long lasting, my half full bottle of No.5 is over 30 years old (obviously I used it sparingly!) and it still smells nice.

I did get J'Adore Dior given to me but I really didn't like it. Someone I worked with used to wear Poison which made me gag. I'm not a big perfume buyer but if I smell something nice on someone I'll always ask what it is.

30yrs old and still smelling good, lol... Brilliant..

Not a big fan of perfumes but the ones I have are Issay Miyaki and Clarins one in a purply bottle, although that seems to give me a rash now.
When I was wee Mum used to wear Aqua Manda, she either smelt of that or Domestos lol.

My first perfume (bought by my Dad) was Lair du Temps by Nina Ricci and I still like it as much now as it did all those years ago, but my all time favourites are Calache & Un Jardin en Mediterranee by Hermes, one a classic and the other just a gorgeous lingering smell.

Dior Addict 2

I tend to swap around but do like musky rather than flowery smells, my current face is Jo Malone Dark Amber and something. It's one of the night range in black rather than clear bottles but I wear it all the time. My others are Hugo deep red and Armani mania code.

Estee Lauder 'Pleasures' or Clarins 'Eau Dynamisante'  :)

My absolute fave is Gucci II. My girls get fed up with me as I ask for it every year :-D

I  also like DKNY Cashmere Mist and I sometimes wear Acqua Di Gio by Armani. It's not unknown for me to use OH's Davidoff Cool Water Happy Summer or Lacoste Pour Homme! ;-)

I'm a big perfume fan, and would rather go without other things than go without perfume.  I wear it daily.

My favourite of all time has been very hard to source for years now, so I resort to having it sent from the states, or mail order from Selfridges (last lot cost me much more than I should spend.)

Climat by Lancombe.  Best smell in the world.

Still love my "Obsession" and have half a bottle left from Christmas last year. But have recently discovered it makes me sneeze!!!! Achoo!

I also adore Monsoon but it's only Eau de Toilette and it vanishes as soon as applied. Never mind, I will still squirt as much on as I can from the samples every time I go into Boots....lol

I have so rarely found any perfume that lingers on me, so have stuck to Obsession. Even Chanel No. 5 used to evaporate. Opium stuck a round a bit longer but it's soooo expensive, I really can't justify that and I don't have the kind of friends & relatives who would help out there.

Love Clinique Aromatics. Still haven't got over finding a bottle in a charity shop for £2.50.... asked for it to be put aside while I went to the cashpoint, and the numpty sales assistant sold it while I was gone......

I may have imagined this but I am sure someone told me, if you put a little vaseline (not too much or it will be gooey and sticky) on your wrist or neck and spray the perfume on top of it, it will last for ages.

I really love opium or for everyday wear the clarins one in the blue colour

Paul Smith Extreme.  Smells gorgeous, like parma violets and I notice wafts hours after I have put it on.  I occasionally try others but always go back to the Paul Smith.

How much is this PS perfume? (just so I can let Santa know)
- By luddingtonhall [eu] Date 09.12.11 14:50 UTC
It's about £15-£20 for the 50ml bottle online;

I have used paul smith rose for some months now and love it. It took me ages to find a daytime perfume and this is lovely. my all time favourite and one i would never be without is Bvlgari femme - beautiful perfume and this one I cannot top, even paul smith doesn't top it.
- By SharonM Date 13.12.11 08:50 UTC
My latest perfume is Dolce & Gabbana - Light Blue, a very light fragrance, I normally wear CK One but fancied a change.

Thanks for the info on prices. I think I need to shop in places other than supermarkets and pet shops!
