Mine has had the chop but he is still not going out of my sight!!Sadly these days thieves will be just as likely to take an elderly neutered mongrel as a young entire pedigree -it is the reward/ransom for return they are interested in...... :(
heard last night at club that a couple from leicester area had been attacked in their own home and their litter of pups taken they had let the people in to view the litter, they had got the van plates but police say these where false the pups where chihuauhas but i know nothing more about it.

! This makes me nervous...not living far away and having a litter at present. I must say, since the litter arrived I have stepped up security as best I can.

Friend of mine had her girl Lab pinched from her garden, she was my friends best girl and showed well, her girl was gone for about 2 days then turned up in the lane limping, she'd been dumped backed on home soil with a very very badly damaged leg, cruciate completely gone.
She's had surgery at some considerable cost and my friend reckons that they damaged the girl when they bundled her into the white van that neighbour had seen and then decided she wasn't worth keeping.
She was just really lucky that they dumped her back near where she lived.
It gives me nightmares to think of anyone taking our two. Its a bit like when the kids first went on an exchange, I thought the other parents could be perverts - I blush to think that now as he's 26.
A fertile imagination can keep you up all night. But I am keeping watch more now and we have PIR's outside if they flash Im up calling the dogs in.
OH thinks Im nuts hey ho nothing new there then!! He would be devestated if Jake got pinched or lost Ive herad him singing to them!! big softie.
All keep safe in this very strange world Champdogers!!!

I couldn't imagine having any of mine stolen, it would be just devastating. Although not really a good thing but many people can be wary of Rotties and its not often people want to fuss them let alone take them. My Akita on the other hand everyone thinks is wonderful and people will stop you in your tracks to fuss her.
