I posted a couple of weeks ago about my pup with my cat . The fact that pups now feeling braver with Noodle the cat and he's started to bark at her .
Eeeeeek!!! The house is bedlam at times . He chases her - she chases him back . He is still approaching her ( even more so now !) and barking -but his tail is wagging when he does it .
She isnt afraid of him but I think sometimes he irritates her . She will jump up out of the way until he is bored and walks away .
Then when he HAS finally found something else to amuse himself with she wanders over to him and it all starts over again.
Has anybody else had this ? Its like some sort of a game at times !!

Oh yes :D This is my life completely. Things looked good a while ago when the cats were following Taiko out on his walks, but the household chases continue. The cat seems to get a kick out of mincing around, goading him until he gives chase, then she'll sit up a height and hiss. The other cat is very dominant and scares the pants off Taiko, he doesn't bother her at all and she makes sure he never gets upstairs. I'm waiting for Taiko to mature (mals mature with dignity according to the breed guides!!) and dreaming of the day they all cosy up in front of the fire. For now though I think they're all enjoying the games.
It's a madhouse....

Well, Morgan just loves cats. I don't have one but my neighbour's cat waits outside our door almost every morning to play with him :-) This cat does not live in a house with a dog so I have often wondered why it is not instinctivly scared of Morgan - may be because the cats first encounter with Morgan was when he was smaller than the cat and scared of her? who knows!!! It's really funny to watch them though and after I take Morgan in, the cat mews outside the door for about ten minutes.
Better that your cats and dogs play together than fight! :-)

I had a Boston Terrier and 2 cats many years ago. The cats necks were yellow from dog saliva where he used to grab them in play. They would race around the house day and night until one of them got tired of the game. The cats, of course, could end it in a second by jumping somewhere the dog could not reach.

I didn't mind - except when they decided to race around the flat at 3 in the morning.
