As you all know cleo is pregnant, at the moment she wont let poor bud do anything, he can't lay on the blanket next to her, and she wont let him drink out of the water dish inside. When they are outside he can drink, but she wont let him eat. she barks at him so he stops. then he goes and hides in his bed until she lets him back out.
Poor bud, he can eat and drink when we are there. She isnt going for him or anything like that, she is just barking at him.
Could this be because she is geting ready for the babies, and wants bud out of the way.
She didnt do this last time, but saying that bud didnt come indoors last time.
Any advice welcome. Debbie

Bitches can behave very differently when they're expecting - it does sound like she doesn't want Bud around her, and if she's close to her due date that's likely to be why. Seperate them and see if she calms down.

Split them up before she damages him as well.
If she hurts him when she bite him, and it sounds as if she will from your discription then he may retaliate and you will have more stitches to cope with
They are currently being ruled by hormones and instinct to a larger degree than when she is not pregant so forget that they are "best friends" and treat them as animals?

Thanks for the advice cleo is inside and can only be with bud when we are there, it is looking like she is geting her nest together, she keeps taking my slippers to her bed.
She has never attacked bud, as bud seems to know that she is the boss, so puts up with her barks and walks away, bless him.
She is so clingy at the moment, i surpose we all are when we are expecting.
thanks debbie

Hi Debbie, :)
Thats so weird, Tiva always slept with Junior and only growled at him once when she had the pups. She would let Junior in their to clean them, but I always shooed him out cause I was scared he would hurt them. Her daughter (who is fixed and never had pups) would go in their and growl at her brother and Junior if they came near them except Tiva. Wierd.
I too think that keeping them apart would be a good idea when u are not around. How many more days left for Cleo Debbie. Not long now hay, can't wait to hear about it.
ttfn :)
