Lo, can get her treats out of her Kong in less than 10 minutes. Despite me using a hammer to ram it all in. I have gone for the frozen option. I have jars of baby food that I put into the Kongs and freeze it. Is this ok??? I also use natural yoghurt with honey

I use cheese/meat paste in the kong, mixed up with dog food and frozen in a sandwich bag. Lasts much longer. What about boredom buster cubes?

I used the fish4dogs salmon mousse sachets (perfect size for 1 large-sized kong) and freeze it.  These last my very determined Labs at least 30 mins, sometimes longer :-) 

I stopped giving unfrozen stuffed things years ago lol!  I don't have kongs but my lot get hollow bones filled with peanut butter (the little ones you can buy that don't break), or filled hooves, and they go in the freezer for 2-3 hours at least first.  I've also done cheese melted in the microwave in the chew then frozen, peanut butter mixed with overcooked rice (more to make it last longer really, 7 dogs od get through a lot otherwise :o), tinned meat, that sort of thing.  Still don't last all that long but much longer than they would have done :-P

I use those small bones too, filled with chappie and frozen, much easier to freeze a few at a time and grab one when needed.

I have 2 7 month old pups that have recently started chewing, kitchen chairs, anything paper and plastic too.  I have looked at kongs etc but had always thought that they wouldn't last long so freezing the food sounds like a great idea. Currently Ive been giving Nylabone chews but I worry about them eating this to regularly whilst so young.

Please would you give me some idea's for chews, bones, stuffings etc, I'd be very grateful.

in summer i freeze treats in gravey in a childs plastic cup, then give them to Storm outside for a lovely icepop!! (taken out of the cup first)

I used to freeze Kongs for my dogs but as my large dog has realised that flinging it heartily around the room will dislodge bits of the food I have recently stopped using them. There have been so many near misses with windows, human body parts and other dogs being in the direct flight path that it's not worth the risk. I used the very large black Kongs and boy do they hurt when they hurtle into your head as you are innocently sitting reading a book :-)
