Quite frankly I don't believe one word of his excuses, I can only be thankful for all dogs that he claims he'll never own another dog again.

Yes, I must admit I find it hard to feel much sympathy for them. Of course we don't know for sure everything that happened, but he beat that dog and there's no denying that, whatever excuse he has.

Some justice at least - although i still believe he may learn the lesson more by having inflicted on him what he did to that poor defenceless animal (but thats another topic :-) ). Lets hope 'Butch' has a happy care free life with loving owners.

hmmm yes I think all that has happened to the man  is at least some  justice for what he did. I am sorry but I dont believe this was a one off incident at all

I don't think it was a one off either, the person who filmed him had witnessed previous attacks on the dog, had become frustrated at the authorities lack of action and so posted the beatings on FB. What was filmed was a sustained attack, hardly the actions of someone who claims to be an animal lover, everyone gets exasperated and stressed, only those with anger management issues resort to punching a dog in the head.
I hope Social Services are keeping an eye on his child.

The mans comments suggest that was not done.  Who knows which one is telling the truth. 
I'm sure Social Services are involved as the little boy is now homeless.
