Can anyone recommend a tinned puppy food to help firm a four month old King Charles Spaniel's stools?
He was previously having James Wellbeloved Complete food, but unfortunately has developed a problem with baby/adult teeth, Vet needs to do surgery, so until then the Pup cannot cope with the hard food, he is presently having tinned Pedigree Puppy, but soft stools. To add to the problem his anal glands are not emptying correctly!!
I understand that tinned Chappie is bland yet still very nutriocious, do they make one for puppies?
Any advice on any of the tinned softer meat would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
The Original Chappie flavour is based on fish and many dogs find this easy to digest. Its not the best qualitey food and your pup really needs a good pup food as you have realised :) It may be worth trying if the effects of the surgery are going to be in the short term, but not as a long term solution.
How about NatureDiet? Tney do a Puppy version and it can be mashed to a pulp. It is good quality and available from most pet shops I believe.
