Tomorrow I am going on a stag/hag party.
It is the grooms do but mostly we are women he works with, we are going off to another island and sleeping in sleeping bags in a converted shower block, as we cant travel back until the next day.
Why do I do this to myself....3 of us are 'older ladies' so at least I wont be alone with the youngsters.
Wish me luck, I will tell all on my return ;)

Oh no, that would be it for me, nice hotel or nothing. :-D I suppose I could just about tolerate a nice comfy tent for a friend at a push, but it would need to be outdoors for a nice atmosphere. Did all that in my younger days and hanging out at Glastonbury etc, though I definitely prefer a nice hotel, not likely to do those things at my age now, can't think of anything worse than having a hangover and waking up on a floor in a sleeping bag in a shower block, nooooooo.............

Still, at least there will be 3 of you all thinking whyyyy........ together. :-D

Have fun anyway. :-)

My thoughts are that  the boat trip back  will be the worst bit

I am now about to  leave for 'the do'.

One important person to collect for the journey.

I am dressing as a sheep, groom is to become little bo peep, poor chap thinks he is going clubbing in a larger fancier sister island, when he n fact is going to the small dusty one with no roads or cars, with just his sheep!

Let the party start.......

Oh Dogz so funny, hilarious that you are going as sheep and he as Bo-peep!!! :-D :-D :-D  Oh........ kind of wish I could be there to see it now, sounds a real laugh, your going to have a great time regardless.

Let us know. Oh, look out for any BC's could be a very exciting night seeing you lot. :-D

Showered and changed after a lumpy but thrilling rib trip back, brilliant fun.
Will come back later or tomorrow to tell more ;)

50 minute boat trip, the sea was beautiful and the skies blue. I enjoyed that so much, tractor pulled trailer up the long dusty hill to the first pub.

We then carried our baggage to a shed where we left it, walked on to the next bar and had another drink in a plastic glass to carry out, we walked or marched then to a mystery destination. Hiding any alchohol in a hedge to collect on our return.

The first fun, we all did clay pigeon shooting, great fun I only managed to hit 5 out of 25 so not brilliant.

Then it was more route marching to deliver baggage to the hay barn we were sleeping in, actually a converted shower block, very cosy for 9 sheep and our shepherd.

We ate a meal went to the local disco which was even attended by a real live collie!
Then on to a house party and then back to the barn to sing in our sleeping bags, some louder than others and a lot of great harmless drunken fun.
The morning came with a few sore heads, these were sorted out with coffe and bacon butties.

The return journey was fantastic, such fun, though probably not if you dont like the sea.

Phew, I bet the other 20 clay pigeons were glad :-D
What a great outing, glad you enjoyed it although I am not sure I would have let my Hubbie have a stag do with nine sheep :-D

That sounds absolutely fantastic - I am jealous :(
Glad you had a good time

Sounds like you had a ball, though glad I couldn't hear your singing. :-D :-D

As long as you remembered to bring Bo-peep home with you and he had a great time. A BC was really there, wow, someone must have told him/her. :-D

Glad you are home safe and sound and you were all great hosts for the groom to be.

Thanks everyone :) it really was great fun.
They only allow male dogs there and the seigneur alone is allowed a bitch.
It is a fabulous place for the dogs as many seem to wander freely (no cars ;)  )
Appears to work out well enough to with the general livestock too. The people all know who belongs to who and how to treat them. :)

Karen :)

eta; Yes Daisy it was :)
