Topic Dog Boards / Showing / Crufts passes

Hi, Sorry for the inevitable crufts question but I'm a little confused by the schedule and just wanted to check.

If own 2 dogs in partnership with someone else (the same person both dogs) and I am entering both dogs to crufts will I receive 2 entry passes or 2 plus one additional helper pass?

I just want to check so I make sure I buy the right amount of passes.

Thanks

Difficult question actually. You will always receive one pass per dog entered, and one extra if the dog is in partnership -but I have no idea if that means you will get 3 passes or 4 as you have 2 dogs in partnership...

If they are the same breed/group then you will get 1 ticket for admit handler + 2 dogs and 1 ticket for additional helper so your 2 dogs will just get 2 people in. Thats what happened to us in the past anyway.

Dude Dog you always get at least one pass per dog at Crufts, even if one single owner enters 5 they get 5 passes.

I tried reading it through a couple of times but still wasn't entirely sure what it meant.

Here comes my next question.... Do you think If I enter them seperately (so one after one another on fosse data) I'll get 4 passes?
I'm so easily confused - this crufts business seems very complicated

sorry the dogs will be entered in the same breed & class (so i will need at least 2 handlers in the ring)

Not quite sure what you mean but once you have made an entry on Fosse you cannot enter the same show again with the same owner or same partnership even if it is a different dog -you'd have to phone them to make an amended entry and pay an extra admin charge.

Be very careful.  We entered a dog as a paper entry and then decided to take another, same group but different breed.  We entered the second dog on line as paper entries had closed.  When the passes came through we only received them for one dog, for some reason one entry cancelled the other out, this was rectified but a complete nightmare.  A additional entry pass was posted out to us, but  we had no ring no as we weren't in the catalogue.  No benching was sorted, again as no number but they did sort this out for us.  Everyone was helpful but it certainly added to the stress of the day, we also recieved some funny looks when in the ring as we weren't in the catologue.  After some months we then had a letter threatening to withdraw the awards (we were fortunate to have a placing) as this was some months later I had binned the paper entry, luckily I had all the emails saved.

I have always completed on line entries since.

I didn't realise that you couldn't enter the dogs seperately online.  I think I'll just leave buying additional passes for now.  Are the handler passes different to the normal public ones?  Can they get in at the same time etc. No doubt lots of people in my breed will end up with spare passes nearer the time and be offering them out to people.

Sorry as you can tell I am a complete novice and am only at crufts by a fluke of not having that many other puppies to compete with, but this could be the only time they qualify so I really want to take them (it's always been a dream to be able to compete there - sad i know!)

Thank you for all your help xx

I entered my girl online for midland counties and over a week later entered my boy for same show (wasn't sure whether to show him as thought I was going to have a girl in season at home) I didn't have to call them, just went to my account history, completed entries and added my boy, no extra charge was occurred...however I still received my passes together, and no extras.

Might depend on whether it is Higham or Fosse, might have been changed also. I did a check right now, I entered Boston this week (which is Fosse like Crufts) and if I log in and click on "enter a show" the show no longer appears in the list of available shows to enter. However like you said, by clicking on "My completed shows" there it was with an option to add a dog -let's hope it's like this all the time now as I know no end of people who have had trouble. Was Midland Counties Fosse or Higham?

hi Mid Counties was with Fosse. Must admit I had never done it before but it was quite straight forward once you knew where to look (ie not under normal list of shows)

Thanks for pointing it out, could be very handy in future. :) Now we just need to find out if you can do it with Higham as well.

Have always been able to enter another dog with Higham I have done it twice this year once for Leeds and also for Welsh Kennel Club.
