hi,anyone do this?Im bricking it because my test in one and a half weeks includes a heelwork to music routine.I havnt much time to spare, but if i knew what i was doing i might feel like making the time for training for it.To give you an idea of how much i dont want to stand up and make fools out of myself and my dog,i said i didnt want to go up a class, purely because i knew htm was in that one!We havnt been taught, but are considered ,at our level,to be capable of working it out for ourselves-ive seen others do it so i know its possible. And i know im taking it too seriously,it shouldnt matter.Ive wasted the last4 and a half weeks, ive got her weaving through my legs as i walk(badly,i might add and not without guidance)By sending her to heel twice ive got a small circle, and she will walk backwards(a bit crablike!)IVe also had a go at teaching a twirl, using a treat-lost my target stick!Im pretty sure its hopeless, but it just overwhelms me when i think of it which doesnt help, but i cant leave it much longer!anyone know anything simple i could do?(apart from throw a sickie on the night!)The test has to include a jump over"some part of the anatomy,if i kneel and hold my arm out and say"over"she looks to where i am"pointing"for the jump!

cheat and just lay on the floor and let your dog jump over your whole body therefore u can guide the dog over using both hands:):)

sit on the floor with your leg out stretched and use a treat to encourage her over. when she has the idae sit on a chir with your leg stuck out and get her to jump it. then stand and stick your leg out. hopefully she might have got the idea.
or teach her to jump over a can/stick on the floor, then liftit slightly, until she is jumping a foot or so. then hold the stick in both hands making a large circle and see if she can jump that and then gradually make the stick shorter until she is jumping through your arms in a circle. a lot of these things are easier if you have someone else to help reward the dog.
