Yes, with the boxes. The mats have done 3 litters now, and wash and dry easily. I like them because they don't ruck up so you can't get a puppy stuck underneath. Big thumbs up from here.

I nearly bought one; it would have been a waste of money though as my bitch did very little digging, and when she did, the vet bed took it without scrunching up.

They are brilliant, I have used them for several litters, they wash well and last for years and of course most importantly a new mum can dig and scratch as much as she likes but the mat stays put!

Been using these mats for several years now, even after umpteen washes they are still in good condition, some are a bit frayed round by the velcro fastening, but considering the amount of abuse they've had it's only to be expected.

Love mine ... worth every penny

OK, so that was it's final demise ... up until that point: I thought it was very well made, I liked the idea of the inner to make non ruck, but I didn't like the idea of the inner pad to absorb all those bodily fluids :-o (that might be an optional, the inner pad that is!) ... I'd much rather have bodily fluids go onto something I can replace a lot quicker, cheaper and wash and dry easier.

I've always just wiped them down with some spray disinfectant. They dry in seconds. My Newdog mats are a few years old now though so maybe those available now are different.

The inners for mine were wipe down rigid "plastic" - could be washed down and towel dried. Certainly no filling to absorb any fluids at all ??

Exactly so. Perhaps they've 'improved' them? Must say they look a bit different on their site.

Looking at the website I think you can buy some sort of absorbent pads buts its in addition to the mats.

Yes, the 'absorbent' pad is an extra ... one I'd personally far rather do without!! That's the bit that the mousey really, really liked, though it did a very nice job on the fleece and the cordura of the outer too. I think it must have had a very warm nest that winter! :-)

I love them..  have two.. Would not whelp/raise a litter without one. 

so you all say its better then vetbed?? as ive never used newdog whelping mats ,can u still use a heat mat with these or dont you need 1?? or they soft and cosy like vetbed?? x

If you have girls that dig a lot they are priceless.  They cant lift like vet bed and takes away a lot of the worrying (having to fish out puppies from underneath the vet bed).   Yes I use a heat pad also.

The top surface is soft & cosy like vetbed, but you can still put a heatpad under part of it if you want.
