we must have walked right by you :) sorry, would have been nice to say hello and meet up with other CD folk! Next time...LKA on gundog day, anybody?
- By Goldiemad [gb] Date 17.11.11 16:14 UTC
Me, should be there with Jade (GR). Are you coming to the Michael Coed Workshop next Sunday, if so I will see you there.
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 17.11.11 16:27 UTC
hi Goldiemad, yes, I've booked us in :-), it will be a busy weekend since we have the club show the day before at Southam (I think, best check...). Some horrible little toad smashed my passenger window last week while the dogs were enjoying a swim and a run, and made off with the satnav I'd stashed under the seat, so we're back to the bad old days of map reading...grrr. We will set off early!

How horrible for you.  You are obviously polite calling them a toad.  I would have  been gutted.  Would your car insurance cover contents?
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 17.11.11 17:50 UTC
LOL I was feeling very guilty about the toads, JeanSW--I have a soft spot for them, they are wonderful.

I was pretty upset on the day, especially since short of the Northumberland moors or Dartmoor it's hard to be more isolated than we were. I've been going to this spot for over 30 years and never known anything like it to happen to anyone. I was worried we might not get it fixed (this was Thursday evening and we were off to GBAS at 3.30am on the Saturday...), I was worried about the dogs (having borrowed a dog to play out with my three there was at least one dog too many to fit in the crate) and the last straw was the money! The insurance people have it all figured out: I could either pay the £200 excess and lose my no claims to get the satnav and window replaced, or pay the £75 and get the window done but kiss Uncle satnav goodbye. Kind of a no brainer. Oh, and the car insurance lot won't cover personal belongings over the value of £100 so it might be worth checking your policy too.

Oh, think I may have seen you and entourage at gbas - were you getting dragged along by dogster?  I was helping out on the springer rescue stand in the foyer - agreat spot for people and dog watching.

Know what you mean about trying to get round shows with lo's...my dd is 2 1/2 now and ....lets put it this way, give me a dozen unruly dogs rather than one terrible 2 yr old :-)
- By groveclydpoint [gb] Date 17.11.11 23:17 UTC
we were at springer rescue stand having look i was in brown top and trouser, liverr n white mad dog my son had kermit top on and throwing his bottles out buggy

Look forward to meeting you then. Should be a good day. Shame about your car, just what you need. If you need a hand with directions, send me a pm and I will give you my phone number.

Groveclypoint - My son used to come to dog club with me and did a better sit stay than most of the dogs. Came in really handy at times and certainly didn't do him any harm. Will try and say Hi at LKA.

Views great JAY15 mind you hadnt come down from the first one at Windsor!   :D

Is that a welshie on your avatar?  I've jsut started handling one for someone.  They are fun dogs arent they (mind you the dog I handle needs some work as he's a right little monkey!)
- By JAY15 [gb] Date 18.11.11 19:14 UTC
yes, all three of mine are welsh, they make every day just like Christmas--jumping on me in bed to get up NOW, ripped up wrapping paper lying around, abandoned toys to trip you up...only kidding. Tell me who your welsh boy is, we will be looking out for you at LKA if you're there!
