does anyone know if either of the two newfoundlands went though to the finel ??

How many get through? I know the crested got through :-) in the photo I've seen there is also a irish setter, a samoyed and either 2 collies or aussies, sorry it's a dodgy mobile pic :-)

Faye and Jo were both short listed in their groups - but then sadly didnt get any further :-(
The final 10 were:
Border Collie, Australian Shepherd, Bearded Collie, Alaskan Malamute, Samoyed, Irish Setter, Springer Spaniel, Chinese Crested and 2 Siberian Huskies (1 of them is mine)
No short haired dogs at all then. No hounds and no terriers!!!

A very "interesting" thing to watch!

I watched it with a few friends and disagreed with the placings. No harm in that, variety is good, but I wondered how others "judged it" - I always like to pick a line up when I am watching other people judge and see what differences there are.
Jeff.

It was a hairless chinese crested :-)
It has a full head of hair!!!!!!!!

If you evened out that hair over its whole body it would be short coated :-D
With only 10 dogs qualifying I don't think you can get caught up in wanting every group represented, that in itself wouldn't be fair if it was playing by numbers rather than judging the dogs on the day.
