Try wellies as they normally keep those on as well as sleep in them ! :-D

My daughter never wears shoes either!  But I think it's a girl thing in this house.  Her big sister wanders about all summer with bare feet even outside in the garden and along to her friends.  I try and terrify her with horror stories of what she could be standing in, but she doesn't care.
Let those little tootsies breathe!haha

My boys always were bare-foot at home, when out I found lace-ups (trainers) were the easiest to keep on.

LOL how true.
My eldest was terrible for stripping all his clothes of as a toddler (including nappy), then putting on his wellies & a pair of sunglasses. I've got a piccy of him like it and can't wait to embarass him with it on his 18th LOL :-D

Ooh call me old fashioned but I'd never put anything on a baby's feet apart from fitted shoes/boots ie clarks or start rite :-O

I found an ecollar soon stops them fiddling with their shoes.  Mind you - I don't know what all the mums in Wales do . . .

Gaff tape. Super glue. Velcro?

If he is old enough, tell him keep them on, or don't whinge about having cold feets.

If he isn't, then put him in thick wooly tights so it doesnt matter and he CANT get those off!

And take photos of all of this for future embarrassment purposes.

(Also wellies, red ones. No child can resist the power of Red Wellies. I think I wore mine for YEARS)

Here in Wales we use Wellies - the more colourful the better.   DD kept hers on for weeks as a toddler - even in bed!    DS was the same LOVES his wellies.

We tried the carefully measured Clarks shoes etc, but found they are only as good as the person measuring them and a BIG waste of money if the assistant was a numpty as so often happens ;)   Wellies and a good pair of socks were always more comfy :-D

As tinies @ 1yo we just used a foot muff on the pushchair and forgot about shoes until they were walking.  IN the house we found these and these were brilliant, bought too large they lasted for ages and stayed put when all else failed. they look great too :-D

Ditto for me, mine only ever wore those little corduroy slipper/dap things (cumfies?).

Kept mine in the pushchair until at least 3 years and 4 years with the last, though he was wearing shoes by three.

">Ditto for me, mine only ever wore those little corduroy slipper/dap things (cumfies?).

I knew them as 'baggies' and same here for me too.

My three are all two years apart, so number one was in baggies and riding rough shod on the pushchair when number two came along and by the time number three came along number one was four and had moved into first shoes, it was Start Rite and Clarks back then or Jumping Jacks, but red red red wellies were always the best foot wear and even to bed.!!!

I've always gone for freedom feet although finance did have an influence on this, my three are now 26, 24 and 22 all with lovely straight toes, good arches and no corns, what they do with their feet now is up to them but I gave them good ones to start with.

" e-collar " lol
I went mainly for the tights alternative until they could wear some sort of laceup but only when they were outdoors walking. I have never been bothered about my kids being barefoot it probaly comes form me hapily wlking around without shoes or socks indoors and out not to mention after a nightout an dthe feet are killing !

My friends son is just the same, he will wear crocs but nothing else. However after wearing wellies and being allowed to jump in puddles he actually likes them, as for other shoes it can be a bit of a mission ;-)

I am completely with you on that one Flora.  I also didn't get her shoes until she was properly walking.

In my house we all take our shoes off the minute we come in (nothing to do with keeping carpets clean, more to do with comfort).  My 4 year old likes the feel of things on her feet and will have her socks off in no time too.  So long as he's not taking them off when you're outside, I don't see any harm in this.
