I have always read people saying they have treated there dogs for worms & fleas with garlic. well we tried it as are bitch is white dog and we see she had flea :-(! so were theres one theres more. we bought cheapest garlic bulbs & treated are dogs with 2 cloves each in there food crushed or whole upto you! then 4 days later also i crush one clove for each dog & brush the hair behind the head forward then pressed the crushed clove into area not leave the clove there and touch wood of yet we havn't seen a flead since. :-) we have done this for last few months.

Garlic being of the onion family I am not sure that two cloves a dog a day is not heading for a health problem.  Not sure if the toxic is accumulative but I would be worried.

I do this for my  tabby cat,as despite flea treatments she still ends up with scabs on her chin,so every now and again I just cut a clove in half and rub a bit on her neck and chin, you dont need a lot a quick swipe is enough.it really works, downside is poor tabby stinks of garlic for a couple of days and the upside is no fleas .
Im lucky to have a cat who doesn't mind what I do to her!!

I would not use raw Garlic as it is too much, what I do use is Garlic Oil 2mg capsules one each day for the past 7yrs, they queue up each morning when I shout " Who wants a sweetie" and take it like a treat, not seen a flea since I started this regime.

I use the sweetie treatment too, no gremlins here for ages :)

I've started giving mine the Dorwest garlic tablets, it's something like 1 tablet per 10 kgs, so I give mine one most days, and my youngster about every 3rd day.
