Hi, I have a litter of 13 day old puppies, 5 days ago my bitch and puppies got diarrhoea so I took them to the vets, the vet said that it could possibly be the bitches food to rich for her and has passed it onto the puppies, but prescribed some synulox antibiotics just incase, so i gave theses to pups and bitch, after a day the bitches diarrhoea cleared up and is fine, 2 days after the vet visit the pups stools seemed to get looser so I contacted the vet to see if it could be the anitiboitics the vet told me to stop all antibiotics as it could be them, which I did so the pups and bitch only had them for 2 days, the puppies stool isn't as much in quantity now but when they poo it is bubbly/foamy, I then contacted the vet again yesterday who said to leave it a couple of days as it could be there stomachs sorting itself out, and if it was no better to send off a stool sample which can take 7-14 days to get results, the puppies are feeding fine, gaining weight each day, they arnt crying or acting out of the ordinary, and are not dehydrated, I now the vets said leave it a couple of days but I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this, and am questions if this problem had been resolved if we had continued with the antibiotics with the pups.
Many thanks
