Is there any difference between the wormers you get from the vet - like Panacur and ...Drontal I think the other one's called - compared with those you can buy in pet shops ? Just bought a packet of one dose wormer called Sherley's - will it do ?

Hi Hammy - I tend to stick with the vet ones, although I buy mine online from vet medic http://www.vet-medic.co.uk I am not sure about the difference nowadays, as things have progressed, I was under the impression that things you bought from the vets were stronger than from the petshop (like flea control ) - I have never used sherleys, but from a price point of view, I think although it seems cheaper from the petshop you use more for longer (although I am not familiar with the new one dose one from sherleys) so worked out the same in the long run. I use drontal plus on mine. Julie:)

Check the Sherleys wormer treats round and tape worm.I only use wormers from the vets-they don't need worming as often with these so it doesn't work out much difference in price.

Yes - I think you are right - the vet ones is probably the safest in the long run.So far I have always got them from the vet - it's just slightly inconvenient some times - And I didn't know about the online facilities. I shall have a look imediately. Thank you !

No probs Hammy, the online ones are postage free, and usually arrive the next day, with full instructions on tablet to weight ratios etc if you have any queries they will answer you online too.. Julie:)
