hi guys
I need some advice before I actually phone secretary i'm going to an open show next month but my sister wants to come wiv her pup for socialising,pup will be nearly 12 wks.
 
Are they allowed this young as it says
Puppies under 6 calendar months of age are not eligible for entry sorry in advance having a very bad blonde day .

No it's not allowed.Puppies aged 4 to 6 months can sometimes be entered NFC at breed shows but not all-breed shows, they have to be 6 months, and never as young as 12 weeks. Having said that, some shows you can get away with it and just sneak puppy in, but it really depends on knowing the venue, the show etc. If I didn't know in advance how much care a particular show took I wouldn't risk it.

We have just had a problem with one of our exhibitors who insists that you can bring in a puppy under 6 months and you just can't it is against the KC rules - it is allowed at some breed shows to bring in a pup from 16 weeks but only if the club allows it.

It is a problem because there are many who think you can and it causes ill feeling particularly if you have a venue where the public are, as they walk around with young pups but the exhibitors are not allowed to.
