Please can you tell me where we can find the results and critiques for todays East Kent Canine society show please ?

The results are unlikely to be on line although you could try the printers if the catalogues were printed by one of the better known printers. The critiques will be in the dog newspapers in approx, 4 weeks but sometimes they take much longer and there is never a 100% published.

If you want the results for a particular breed the secretary may let you have them. Or if you pay for it they may send you a marked up catalogue.

Sadly no results online - if you are after a breed result someone on here may know?

Critiques will appear in the paper(s) possibly as soon as next week and perhaps not at all (sadly).

Thats such a shame,it was a pup I bred that cames 2nd so I would love to read the critique :-(

Well done - I will try to remember to keep a look in the papers for you.

You may well get a critique published but Championship show reports take presidents over Open shows so there may be a wait of a few weeks.

Similarly there is a reluctance to report the results from Open shows, not surprising really as it would require the printer to have a rep present at the show to send the results in or for the show society to do it and to be reliable, it is all extra labour and most of the time that labour has to be paid for. Open shows are struggling anyway for both money and volunteer help so I don't think things will change much for years to come.

If the judge invited the exhibitor to remain behind for a crit then you might find it printed.  I had a 2nd place crit written for my youngster recently but it didn't appear in Dog World.  However Nova had a look for me and found that it had been printed in Our Dogs in it's entirety. 

Perhaps the OP could check with her owner to see if the judge appeared to write a crit?  Otherwise you're right - the judges at Open Shows tend to just write up their first place dogs.

Sorry, I should of made that clearer, we've had 2nd place critiques taken at Open shows, but due to space or whatever, it's rare for the paper to print them, or might creep into one of them.

Our Dogs will print critiques for third place if the judge submits them.

Yes,they def stayed behind for the jdge to write a critique - seems ludicrous that there is no way of ever getting your critique? what a waste of the judges time writing it ? :-(

its still very early  for the critique  for East Kent to be in the dog papers

I would say that it wont be in until at least Christmas/New Year. The judge may well have made his/her notes on 2nd place but may not actually do a 2nd place crit, on submission to the paper/s.

Could I be really cheeky and ask if anybody who gets the doggy papers could check if Leonberger midland counties&Leo club show critiques are published in the papers?
I would love to know what was said of my Smellie-Ellie as they are the only shows she has been to since being a "big girl" :)...
I'm way too skint to be buying subscriptions for the papers at the moment and to go and check at the closest shop that gets the papers every week till the critiques appear(if they appear) is not very easy :(...

The earliest the weekly paper comes via post, is a Thursday(well DW does) so those who pick up from a newsagent, would have theirs on the Friday, which is the best day to bump the thread. :)

There was no Newfy class - just AVNSC Working Jnr

It was class 18 - AVNSC Jnr - 'Piratebears Treasure CHest' - was placed 2nd

Have I got the correct show East Kent 6th November?
If so there may be an error in Our Dogs - Dog World does have some reports from the above show but not AVNSC Working it does have NSC Terrier and NSC Toy but no Working.

In OD the only AVNSC working Junior is the one I have quoted.

Thats such a shame! I knew something like this would happen to me :-( - yes,you had the correct show.The dogs placed were Huskie,then Newf (pup I bred) Then another Newf.

It looks to me like it was 2 different classes, as piratebear is quoting AVNSC Junior & your looking at AVNSC working junior...maybe if piratebear says who was her judge for the day it may help..my suspision could be the BIS judge???

I just looked at 2 previous schedules & only group NSC's(Junior, PG & O) there are some stakes classes but no junior..very confusing...

On taking a second look I think that the results they have put up are in some cases from 2010, although it is dated this November it would seem that half are from this years show and the rest from last year so there is hope that your critique will appear and I will try to keep an eye open for it.

Dog World has published some of the NSC classes but not the working they have published the terrier, utility & toys but the other 4 groups are not published as yet.

Sad thing is when and if it does appear there may be nothing about the dogs placed 2nd apart from the name.
