I would love some reassurance here...is it normal that Maisy is panting? Her last pup came at 4 and since she's been calm and sleepy. If she has contractions should I be worried?

We're hopefully seeing the vet tomorrow, but I'm slightly worried.

Yes this can go on for a few days, it's normal. :)

As she feeds the puppies her womb will be contracting as it starts to shrink back to its original size. It can be quite painful - it happens with women as well.

100% definitely YES.  So don't worry.  My girl sounds like a steam train, and last litter she was doing it for over a week.  Remember how hard their little bodies are working now.  Apart from the pain they are experiencing, they are working hard making all that milk.

All bitches will vary, but I already knew that Suzie was one of the exceptionally noisy ones.

Your vet will reassure you that there is nothing wrong.  :-)

Thank goodness; I was really worried she was going to pop out another unawares!

Checked over by the vet; all well and good, and the litter is fine too. Relieved and now content!

Good, now you will relax a little :)

Pleased to hear that.  Mine are thriving.  I do LOVE having puppies about.  I can't wait until they reach the stage that I can inhale that puppy breath.

Hope your girl and her pups continue to thrive.  I wonder how poor drover is doing?

I flipping love puppy breath, it's the best smell in the world! Especially when they yawn and you can get your nose right in there, LOL!

Mine are all suckling well and occasionally squeaking when hungry or uncomfortable. Only had a few moments where Maisy has sat on one, I've barely left their side just in case!

I'm also lucky enough to have the stud owners, who are experienced breeders and showers, come down to see them at 7 weeks so we can have their verdict on the puppy we want to keep!

Right; time to start oggling again. ;)
