For real this time i think. My bitch has been restless on and off for the last few days, the last 24 hours or so she has been having alot of bowel movements, she is panting on and off too, which i think is making her thirsty as she is drinking more, she has also vomited twice this afternoon/evening.
She has made it very clear (aggressively)that she will not tolerate the other dogs anywhere near her so i have removed them from the lounge/whelping area (she is usually fine with the others).
She has also been shredding and digging in her whelping box and has a glazed/slightly panicked look on her face.

I hope tonight is the night...she has been keeping me guessing for the last 3 nights!!

Hmm I think it's gonna be a race between you and waggamama LOL.  Anyone taking bets??  (just kidding).

I hope it's soon and goes smoothly

Sounds good, fingers crossed when I come back in the morning you'll have some good news and lots of new little feet in the house. :-D

Best of luck to you both.

WendyJ, yes lets have a wee bet, I think that drover is just going to pip waggamama, (log down your times girls, no cheating. :-) )
- By drover [gb] Date 27.10.11 23:34 UTC
Haha, me and waggamama are actually friends on fb and have been morally supporting each other throughout our girls pregnancies...we think it would be great if they both went on the same day!!
- By drover [gb] Date 27.10.11 23:37 UTC
I'm so excited, i really hope this is it! I havent been able to take her temp which hasnt helped- she gets very stressy at the thermometer up her bum! Lol, so i thought its not worth stressing her out over.
- By Carrington Date 27.10.11 23:38 UTC
Well that is brilliant, you both have someone to sit up with you, :-) the waiting and not daring to sleep is more exhausting than anything, but the moment that first pup arrives it's all forgotten.

Looking forward to logging in in the morning for news. :-)

I KNOW she's going to go before me, and I'm stinkin' jealous! I can't wait, it's so lovely to know they're only a day apart, and you're still beating me, MY bitch is meant to go first, lol!
- By waggamama [gb] Date 28.10.11 02:39 UTC
Oooooh what's happening!
- By drover [gb] Date 28.10.11 07:52 UTC
No puppies yet! I was up ALL night with her, still pacing and panting and she was constantly licking my leather sofa (very! annoying). She has just eaten her breakfast like she hasnt eaten in a week, done umpteen poos and is wandering around aimlessly now.

Just checked waggamamma's post to see if I can still bet lol.  I think drover will go first.

I can't coment on the labour length as I had better than text book labour and delivery :) :) :).  I was pleased to see strong waves of of contractions.  I assited with one pup that was a taking a little longer, (thank you JeanSW for recommending the slippy goop).  it was magical seeing her instantly bond with her babies and I'll never forget the look on her face.

Got it all crossed for you both and so jelous, loved the experience lol except the sleep deprivation that came after.

I'm going to bet on waggamama, because I want drover to have the Halloween litter! :-D

Ohhh forgot about that, good thinking

That look is what I look for before anything else.  If she looks like that for too long I always suspect inertia.  Has never failed me yet.

I am torn as I do want the halloween litter but at the same time I want them NOW haha.

She is a little more settled now. I shouldnt be so impatient as she is only day 61..it doesnt help that she has been giving me false alarms all week.

waggamama will be having a guy fawks litter at this rate (only joking)

now come on *looks sternly at the girls in labour* lets get things moving :-)
- By drover [gb] Date 28.10.11 10:18 UTC
Haha don't say that, she wont be impressed!
- By waggamama [gb] Date 29.10.11 03:23 UTC
Don't encourage my bitch, LOL! I'm sure she's writing Christmas cards in her spare time to mark the occasion, at this rate she's not that far off. ;)
- By JeanSW Date 29.10.11 04:16 UTC
Think I won!  ;-)
- By waggamama [gb] Date 29.10.11 04:58 UTC
I just know Drover will beat me too!
