Does anyone have these ?
Was thinking about getting some as Christmas pressies but the sizing seems to be all over the place with different sites giving different versions of what small. med and large are, am a bit unsure what size to get.

Trespass do the Walker version, or they did last year, so you could try them on maybe if you have a branch nearby?

The Pro seem a lot more expensive, I may go with the Walkers. Chances are we won't get another winter here where I am like the last, or if we do, the grips will get used once and will rust away in the cupboard for the next 5 years.

Yes, I have them and they are brilliant.  I'm a size 6 and went for the medium; they fit fine over my very chunky Meindl walking boots.

Hubby had them last year and loved them!

I bought a pair of yak trax pro via Amazon last year. I wanted them to fit on hillwalking boots and the best info. I found was on a website (possibly yak's trax itself) that gave the sizes equivalent to measuring the circumference of your shoes or boots. This worked for me but when buying for other people it might well be awkward (unless they live in the same house and you can readily measure their shoes/boots!!). We have a Tiso's shop here and they certainly had yak trax pro in stock the last time I was in the shop (thinking in a shop you could see what you are buying rather than online).

Thanks all :-)

I do have a Tiso pretty close in Perth, think I'll tootle along and see if they have them, that'a annoying though, I was just in Asdas in Perth this afternoon.

Tiso in Dundee have them just now and other similar ones that look more industrial (different brand though).  I got some last year and they are amazing for walking on ice but not so good for snow unless you are travelling in a straight line!

I found that in deep snow they tended to come off but are fantastic on ice.  I felt confident walking the dogs on the icy road whereas before I had them I was doing the tense ice walk where you walk like you have pooped your pants!

If there's a blacks near you look in there as mine cost no more than £10. They were fab last year in the compacted snow, I was the only one that could walk!
