OH blimey, gormless questions r us or what!

I'm just about to enter LKA and when I get to the checkout it offers me 'adult entry tickets' - if me, dog and el husbando are attending and Mr Dog is entered,  do I still need to buy adult entry tickets?  I haven't had this option before...

You usually get one entry ticket per dog -for LKA if dog has more than one owner you get two tickets. So if you enter just one dog and the dog is in your name only, hubby will need a ticket.

Wish i'd have asked now :( i ordered an extra ticket as i wasnt sure and there is no info whatsoever in the schedule or on entry form. Our dog is in joint names so will see what we get.

You'll get 2 passes with the dog entry (as you are joint owners) and one adult ticket you have paid for. Nearer the time you can advertise it on here in case someone wants it!

Yes there is. Page 7, rule 25 of the LKA schedule: "Exhibitors will receive a free pass for admission to the show for each dog entered. In the case of a single dog entered by a partnership one <underlined> extra free pass will be issued irrespective of the number of exhibitors in the partnership." It's all in bold type as well. :)

this made up my mind and I didn't enter. I wasn't sure if the judge would like my beastie anyhow and it would have been a 200mile round trip, but the thought of having to break it to El Husbando - a none convert, that he had to pay an additional £5.00 for the 'joy' of 'sitting around listening to people talk about dogs' (his words not mine) did not delight!

I do think it's a bit naughty to charge per person.  It's an education seeing how differently shows are run, I could have taken a coach party into Driffield free of charge.

Thinking ahead - does Crufts charge per person? is it worth changing my dogs into both name ownership for the future?

Don't forget you are talking the NEC for LKA -hugely expensive to hire and I am not aware of any shows there where there is no fee to get in -I'd imagine it is up to the NEC that and not the organising society.

Crufts is NEC as well, it's something like £14 or £16 per person to get in. For the sake of getting an extra ticket, and also an extra bench to fit another chair in front of!, I tend to enter an extra dog rather than pay for another ticket. It works out much the same -bit more expensive but you get the perks LOL. And I joined daughter up for YKC so she gets free passes for all four days anyway. :)

But yes, you could change to joint ownership.  Remember though if you breed and have a kennel name that will then also have to be in joint names.

In the event that I don't manage to qualify another dog, can I still enter one NFC?  I'm liking the thought of two chairs in front of our two benches, even if one of them will be seating my grumpy other half! :-[

Crufts is one show where you cannot enter NFC I'm afraid.
