Home yesterday. The MRI scan showed that he has suffered a whopper of a slipped disc in the middle of his back, the disc having squeezed up and horizontally. Mr Macqueen 'a little' surprised & very pleased at his mobility levels. But also very encouraging in that as it has been managed (with more than a little luck) and as it happened in the last weeks of August the disc will have now settled and hardened. The rest of his spine is not looking too bad and advised to get him out and about again, managing any signs of discomfort with rimadyl but to slowly increase his fitness levels.
I still have no idea of how it occurred, and it's not what we would have wished but after how he has been presenting, told it is the best outcome we could have hoped for. Any pain in his lower back has been from muscle's spasming to hold his spine in the least painful position!
Such a relief to have him home and not have to have the option and decision to put him through surgery.
The poor boy must have been in agony!
