My friend booked a puppy a few weeks ago and now age 6 weeks the breeder contacted her to say the pup has an underbite and emailed her a pic which she then sent to me,im no expert but you can clearly see the bottom teeth sticking out.what are the chances of the pups teeth correcting as she grows or will they stay like this or get worse even.also is this hereditary?thanks

what breed is the puppy? does she want to show? does she want to breed?

Undershot jaws tend to get more pronounced as the pup matures as the upper jaw stops growing before the lower jaw. If the pup's noticeably undershot now then it'll be even more so as an adult. What breed is it?

a cocker spaniel, just a pet but from a litter where one or two may be show quality.

If the lower teeth are visible at 6 weeks then the mouth is likely to be very wrong in adulthood. As a pet it shouldn't matter too much because it'll probably adapt its eating technique as it grows, but bad mouths are usually inherited and are notoriously difficult to breed out again.
