hi just wondering if it is the handler that is judged in special beginer classes and handled by lady ??? i use to do handleing classes with horses and ponies and really enyoed  them i have entered  a few with my pointer,i now with horses and ponies it was handler that was judged is it same with dogs

No or may be Yes. It is the dog in both examples given the only time a handler is judged is in handling classes.

In the second insistance and depending what the classification says in the schedule(which you must make sure you have read properly, in all cases, when entering), it would be that the class is limited to dogs, that will be handled by a female & may even be the owner is a female too. This would deffinately be judged on the dog, as is the Special Beginners class.

It is not the handler that is judged, it is the dog.

I love it that even after 10 years I am encountering classes I've never heard of - handled by lady, love it! Mind you in my breed 99% are handled by ladies (or at least females, haha), we'd need a handled by male class!

we'd need a handled by male class!

No coarse remarks please.

They do have handled by male classes called Handled by a gentleman (perhaps that is why it is not offered often)

Haha Nova, I did rather leave that open to tempting comments didn't I! :-D

Handling classes where it is you who is judged will be shown as "Adult Handler"  They are often qualifiers for the Coventry Ladies Handling final in March of each year.

And although it is Coventry Ladies, they are for men and ladies!
