my poor big baby has another abcess on his near fore farrier was out earler its a realy deep abcess,the lady that looks after apollo gave me poltice boot to try,apollo big 18,2hds and big wimp to poltice .lou thought it would save my back,just wondering if anyone else has used them???? i have never used boot and same with lou
apollo feeling bit better hes rugged up in knee deep straw bed and 2 big haynets

a friend of mine used one and said they didn't work as well as using a plastic bag. Apparently they dont draw the gunk out as fast as a bag does.
Hope he's on the mend soon.

At my yard they used a disposable nappy and duck tape, the nappy is taped on with more tape back and forwards over the sole to protect nappy.  They swear by it!  Not sure size used but I'd imagine smallish one.

Disposable nappies here as well. They worked well. I used 6 month old, but only because I had some here for my grandson :)

thanks everyone i usly use nappies,aniaml intex etc,iv i have really bad back lou thought it might help my back will take bags etc up to stables tomm its really bad abcess poor baby but hes happy been in ,farrier is coming back on mond to put shoes on
