Like theemx, I'm horsey but currently horseless :-)
I've ridden almost all my life, and owned several horses & ponies from when I was about 9 up to my early 20's (I'm now 32) - unfortunately, I found that a mortgage, living 15 miles from where they were kept, and a 30 mile commute to work didn't mix all that well, so the small but promising youngster that I was hoping to bring on went to another local family and is now a lovely middle aged all-rounder :-)
My last riding horse of my own was sadly killed in a road accident shortly before I took the decision to stop riding. She was my 'once in a lifetime' horse - big, fast & bold enough for XC, team chasing & eventing, but safe enough for me to put my parents friends 9 year old daughter on for a wander around the field, & a chestnut mare too!!!!
I would love another horse one day, but only if my circumstances were different, as I couldn't dedicate the time at the moment.
