One of my boys (in all his curious wisdom) has taken a swipe at a wasp/bee. His top lip is rather hard and fat but he is eating and drinking fine. I managed to pull the sting out of his lip. Should i be worried at all? Is there anything that i can do for him. Is a visit to the vets required? The last time one of my dogs got stung was years ago and her head ballooned way out of proportion to the rest of her body. I took her to the vets and they gave her a antihistamine. My boy looks nothing like she did back then.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated, thank you.

If he is still ok he will be fine.
Keep some Piriton in your FA box for similar events.

my girl got stung and i pulled out the sting, she was slightly swollen but after a day she was fine, i rang the vet and they said put a cold compress on the area and that will help, i think it all depends on how the dog reacts to the sting same as people, some people are fine when stung others need an injection!

I found
this recently when I was trying to treat one of mine. She had trodden on a wasp which I then flicked off her pastern. I bathed it with vinegar and gave her a couple of Piriton. She was fine within a short time though she had a slight swelling for the rest of the day. By the next morning you'd never have known she'd had a sting.
Panic over! I gave him a 3rd of a capsule of benadryl sprinkled on some fish! He was quiet for a while after the sting but thankfully soon perked up and back to his foolish old tricks!

Ahhh, glad all's well.
You should have seen my OH running off to the shop for the meds! He came over all fatherly & protective! I didn't know he had such a soft side to him!
