As per my previous question on 8.1.03 replyed to by digger out sbt hasnt got mites or a fungal infection as hes had many a tests at the vets, and they cannot find anything wrong at all, so why are his pads so rough and sore please help a very distressed owner.

Does your dog lick all of his feet or just front or rear,what sort of feed back have you had from the vet about it:ie were your walk the dog,how long has the dog done this and what does the vet recommend.

Have you tried glycerine or paw wax on the pads. Is the skin around the pads swollen - if so it could be an allergy. I dont know where you are and whether you have freezing weather? If its a recent problem could it be exersising on salted /gritted roads? salt is very drying on the pads.
