We rehomed a golden retriever, bred by R Hewitt in 1998, we so love the build and nature of our dog, so would like to know if they are still breeding, as we may be interested in buying a puppy.

Does anyone know anything to help?
Guest ..have you any idea what area the dog came from or if there was an affix (KC name)

We have no kennel suffix, but live in Northamptonshire, and suspect the breeders may be in this county, or perhaps Leicestershire or Warwickshire. Thanks

We do have kennel club numbers for his parents -Sire -Portrait of Adam -X1724304X02; Dam - Betdonayr Lucys Gold - W3461905W03

You could call the
Kennel Club to see if they can help at all ...

Dear Melody,
I wrote to Kennel Club last September with that information, but never received a reply.
Thanks, Sue

Hi Goldie
I had a look around last night to see if I could come up with anything to help and I'm afraid I couldn't. I had a look in a couple of breed record suppliments and some show catalogues and didn't find the name anywhere I'm afraid.
It may be worth using the link Julie has supplied and looking up the regional club for the area you think they are from and contacting them- you never know
Good luck :)

Goldie/sue - ring up the kennel club, if you get no joy with my link, in fact I would ring as well - I rang them up a few years back to check out a friends ped. as we suspected it was bogus as her KC papers hadn't arrived. But on the ped was the KC reg Numbers. The girl I spoke to at the KC looked up the Numbers and it turned out the parents were of different breeds (One Mastiff and one Neo) - so although they cannot give out direct contact telephone numbers to breeders by this, they can tell you the lines of your dog and even send you the full pedigree print out (you have to pay) with the generations, but this will help you track the line, via knowing the Grandparents of your dog etc, and narrow down your search. If the grandparents are a more recognisable line then they could put you in touch with who they let use their stud dog - if that makes sense - I know what I'm trying to convey but not sure its come out right. Telephoning the KC gets instants results too! Helps if you get someone really helpful in registrations too! Julie:)
