Hi and welcome! To treat a phantom pregnancy you need to reduce the amount of protein in her diet and increase her activity levels to stop her 'brooding'. So lots of walks, no sympathy (remember how your hated games teacher used to treat people who didn't want to play sport!), no being allowed to snuggle in corners feeling sorry for herself. And if she decides that a toy is a pretend puppy then take it away from her - tough love is what's needed. Giving raspberry leaf tablets (available from Dorwest herbs can also be helpful.

She can be spayed when all signs of the phantom pregnancy are gone.

my 10 month westie bella has just finished her phantom pregnancy, Phew! ... took just under 2 wks - lots of extra walks - no toys & trying to keep her mind off things - she didnt sleep well, wandering around moaning and feeling very hard done by mother-to-be ... our vet also gave us some gel to rub on her tummy to keep her nipples from producing milk - good luck.
