Please can I have some advice. My bitch is 5 weeks pregnant (scan confirmed) and I am concerned about her behaviour recently. She has always wanted to be the centre of attention and very social with other dogs and people. Recently she has stared snapping at other dogs who we walk with regularly. She is ok with dogs but seems to be irksome with the two young bitches I walk with (one 4 months the other 6). They do not help matters by licking her face and pulling her ears and generally getting in her face but normally she would just ignore. Is this normal. She does not live with any other dogs now that our oldie passed away

Put it this way woudl you want to be pestered by two youngsters when pregnant?  Quite normal for her to want more boundaries.

Thanks for the reply. I did assume that would be the case it was just so alarming to see her snap. I guess we should think about knocking the social walks on the head for now then. I also noticed she was snapped at by a male dog (whom she approached and I had not noticed). I suppose walking her on the lead wont harm her but she is still running round like a maniac at the moment with no sign of slowing.

My bitch has been doing similar with a bitch we see every week who comes over, it was strange to see but I just put her in her crate so she could have a rest and not be pestered.
