> Just had a look http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007tcw7 from 31.19 to 39ish - genuine dog lovers may find the scenes disturbing!

Oh my gosh, it's very frightening. How many people are going to try this on thier dogs and think thier dog is 'safe' just becasue they have dominated and bullied it into not growling or showing teeth? I couldn't watch it all. I got as far as the dog being shouted at to make it get off the bed. The girl ont he bed thought it was great that the dog was not growling, but no mention was made of the dogs state of MIND, it was panting, tense body posture and lip-licking - the dog was NOT a happy dog, it was VERY stressed out indeed. OK it was not making noise, but from what I saw the silly young man has only 'taught' the dog to shut up, and stop giving clear warnings. It's only maatter of time before the dog feels pushed beyond it's limits and bites, this will be labeled as 'with no warning', despite the clear body language, even after it has been bullied into keeping silent :( :( :(
I would love to see that young man try his technique with the food-gaurding with a dog the size of mine! -Just like CM, he WOULDN'T, he would be forced to alter the dogs
state of mind with positive association rather than bully it, so why on earth bully a little dog? It makes me sick and I am sooo cross that a 'trainer' needs to shout at a dog - it only shows he can not 'teach', only bully.
That poor little JRT was nervous enough before the trainer arrived to 'help', now the little mite is even worried about eating it's food. See the way it was eating very reluctantly - in fear of the people around it,shouting and bullying it away form it's bowl. I can't see how this sort of thing is not clearly seen for what it is - inflicting unnecessary suffering on an animal. That is mental torture ON FILM and broadcast as 'training' - DISGUSTING :( :( :(
Can't quite get my head around the way some people think that agressive, confrontational behaviour from them, towards the dog, will suddenly make the dog a happy,
non-confrontaitonal dog??????????
