Hi, i have a bichon frise and noticed a red/pinky bump around my dogs eye the other day and it has grown a little.  I have now noticed a couple of other ones that have appeared.  none are on her actual eye and are around it.  she doesn't seem ill and they don't seem to bother her but wondered what they are and whether i should take her to the vets?

Can dogs get stys?!!

Without seeing it, i'm wondering if it could be cherry eye ? Do the breed suffer from this ?

One of our old yorkies developed bumps around his eyes and along his back, they started out as red and soft but in time hardend and went dark.  the vet said it was old age sebaceous cysts and to leave them alone. but check with your vet definately.
