Our bank has tried very hard to get us to 'go green' and stop having paper statements - I already receive electric and telephone bills online.  Our water statement is every 6 months and of course council tax bill once a year.  We are going through the painful process of trying to open a new savings account - what do they need (supposedly to stop money laundering!) but a utility bill, bank statement, correspondance from the tax man - all dated in the last 3 months!  Thank goodness I didn't give into pressure and have my bank statements online - because it is the only thing we can offer. My OH is wrangling on the phone now (he has been talking now for at least 20 minutes) trying to get them to see sense and receive something older.  Be warned folks - if you want to do anything these days you have to have proof of who you are and where you live - at least 3 items - so don't go green - stick to snail mail.

Talking about going green -the KC has just announced today that Crufts schedules will not be sent out this year to previous exhibitors. You have to either download one or send an SAE.

Who on earth wants to download & print the entire schedule for any champ show. You bet your bottom dollar that the entry etc wont be any cheaper either. At the moment I got nothing qualified so no worry yet but I deffo wont be downloading!!!
I'm afraid I am a bit old fashioned & like to have a schedule & form to enter with for all shows

I was struggling with a rental agreement for a house on this front. Luckily they allowed me to download a few statements and all went well..

Well it can't be to save on postage because the amount of bumph that comes with the schedule must more than pay for the postage so it must be printing costs.

You only need to download and print the page/s you want. :-)

I've never had a problem using printed 'online' statements. Anyway, my bank will issue free paper statements if needed for 'no paper statement' customers :)

?? In the years I've shown at Crufts nothing has ever arrived with the schedule. It just comes in a plastic bag with the address printed on a piece of paper. It is very heavy on its own. You might be thinking of the special offers etc that are sent out once you've made your entry that weigh nothing in comparison?

May be I am.
